Post 2

things are going good this week. we have been teaching our couple mike and audrey who have a baptismal date on the 22nd of january. and they are a way solid couple. they are pretty much waiting to get some money from audrey's pell grant money to get married. so once she gets it they are going to get married and then baptized!!! also we have kind of been teaching jordan. this kid is a foster child who is living with one of the members in our area and they introduced us to him and so far things have been going well for him, or as we thought it was going well for him. but it is really hard to meet with him becuase he has a tough schedule becuase he has meetings with his real family members and also he has like appointments with counselors and stuff and anyways we tried to set up a better schedule with him and then we learned that he doesn't really fell comfortable getting baptized and that he just wants to learn at first and that he thinks that everything is happening too quickly but he is too shy to tell us and when he meets with that he just says yes to everything. so my companion and i need to kind of become friends with him and take it slow with him so that we can get him baptized. but anyways last night we had a meeting with this kid named Hayden and he is 13 years old and his mom thought that you had to have both parents permission to get a child baptized but then she learned that as long as one parent has custody for their child they can just baptize them on that parent's permission. so we had a lesson here and we committed him for baptism on jan. 15th. i don't know if i have explained this to you but here they commit investigators to baptism on the first lesson and i think it is great becuase for the most investigators in utah already know a little bit about the chruch and if they are to meet with us they pretty much want to get baptized. but anyways we have 3 more unbaptized kids that we are going to meet with throughout the week and it is going to be great to set baptismal dates with them. but things are going good out here. hope you guys have a wonderful week and a wonderful new years!

love
